How Can I Volunteer and Get More Involved?

Family involvement builds a stronger community and has been proven to help students do better in school! 

Our RP school community is wonderful because of volunteers like you! There are many ways to be involved (many w/ minimal, flexible commitments).

Attend an event! Volunteer in the classroom! Donate a snack! There are many ways to be involved. There is something for everyone!

Stop, Drop and Go

Help keep drop-offs running smoothly and safely. Each class will be responsible for a rotation, but we welcome anyone anytime!

 

Every school morning 7:35-7:55am on Hollis Street.

 

Newsletter

Help put together all the fliers for the weekly Wednesday packets for all our students.

 

Wednesday, 8:00-9:30am, Auditorium

Food Bank

 

SF Food Bank provides food weekly for classrooms and families. Unload food off pallets and distribute into bags for families and classrooms.

 

Wednesdays, 11:00am-12:30pm, Auditorium

 

Dragon Dollar Store

 

Students earn Dragon Dollars throughout the year. Help the kids spend the dragon dollars they earn for being CHAMPS at school.

 

Third Thursday of the month, 10:45am-12:45pm

 

Salad Days

 

Every month the Green Team serves up salad to the whole school. Help peel, chop, prepare and serve.

 

First Wednesday of the month, 9:00am-12:30pm, Room 5

 

Classroom Volunteer

 

Help with copy, sort homework folders, provide snacks or volunteer in the classroom.

Give Me Five!

 

Help with tracking volunteer participation and volunteer recognition.

Several committees are needed to organize, drink or auction items. Coordinate a classroom art project for the auction. Volunteer beforehand or on the night for the main fundraising event for the JBBP program.

Cherry Blossom Festival

 

Help organize the parade, pop popcorn during the weekends before the festival, help sell popcorn at the booth. JBBP performs on stage, marches in the parade and has a booth selling popcorn.
