The Curriculum and Instruction Division is offering Kβ12 educators a variety of professional learning sessions from August 5β7, 2026, at the South San Francisco Conference Center. Participants will receive extended pay, and registration is required for individual sessions due to limited space.
Did you know that you can earn salary credits for professional learning time that is outside of your contract day and not compensated by extended hours or your 18 hours? The Office of Professional Growth and Development asks that you read the following process and submit any requests for CEU for pre-approval. This process is also a way for you to keep track of any and all professional learning activities once they are approved as eligible for continuing education units.
Join us August 5β7, 2026, at the South San Francisco Conference Center for professional learning opportunities offered across the Curriculum and Instruction Division. Participants will receive up to 6 hours of extended pay per day based on attendance.

Reclassification Round 0 is happening now. The list of eligible EL students has been shared with teachers. Next steps are Teacher Recommendation and Parent Consultation. Form is due June 10th.
Get a head start on next year with Inquiry Journeys, SFUSDβs newly adopted Social Studies curriculum centered on inquiry-based, culturally relevant learning. This PD will help teachers build confidence with the curriculum through hands-on exploration of instructional materials, pacing guides, and practical classroom strategies; extended hours compensation will be provided.
