All SFUSD paras can register now to attend the August 10-11 virtual institute for pay!

New students are eligible for reclassification with 2022-2023 ELPAC Summative Scores. We are initiating a Pre-Round 1 of reclassification so that eligible students can potentially begin the 23-24 SY already reclassified. We appreciate the teachers who are able to consult with the parent/guardian and make the recommendation for reclassification with short turnaround time.

Dr. Rebecca Silverman and her team of researchers from Stanford University are conducting a study, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, to understand best practices for supporting the language and literacy development of multilingual learners in 4th and 5th grade.

To our colleagues, families, students, and community members, enjoy a festive evening with live music and dinner as we celebrate SFABSE Scholarship Recipients and SFUSD Retirees hosted by the San Francisco Alliance of Black School Educators!

A group of Black educators from San Francisco shared the vision of prioritizing education for all children, especially Black children, and created a coalition for Black educators to exchange ideas and techniques in June 1977. June 2023 marks 46 years that this organization has hosted these educational programs for African American/Black students, educators, and families in the San Francisco Unified School District. I invite you to join SFABSE efforts by volunteering and becoming a member.
