The California Department of Public Health has released updated COVID-19 isolation guidelines. The new recommendation for students is to stay home if they have tested positive or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 until they have NOT had a fever for 24 hours without using fever reducing medication AND other COVID-19 symptoms​ are mild and improving.​

There have been no updates to SFUSD's COVID-19 protocols since Feb. 28, when San Francisco’s COVID-19 public health emergency declaration and Health Officer Order No. C19-07y, “Safer Return Together,” along with additional health orders, ended in alignment with the end of California’s COVID-19 State of Emergency.

A brief update on COVID reporting, protocols, and COLOR Testing

Trick or treat safely this Halloween by following these tips.

COLOR self-swab test kits will continue to be available through March 2023. These are not rapid test kits, but RT-LAMP test kits that require submitting a swab sample to be tested in a clinical lab.

Everyone age 5 and up should get the updated COVID-19 booster at least 2 months after any COVID-19 vaccine or booster dose.
