Posted on Feb. 18, 2025: The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is not proposing cuts to the school crossing guard program, and the SFMTA Board of Directors did not take action on this today (Feb. 18, 2025). The SFMTA has assured us that they would identify alternative funding to keep the crossing guard program going if their budget crisis were to impact the program.

Neither pre-registration nor sign-up is required, but students/families should bring a number of recommended materials to the event as outlined in this announcement.
