Activate Your Family Portal (ParentVUE) Account

How to Activate your ParentVUE Account

Get an activation key from your school or from the Student and Family Resource Link by emailing familylink@sfusd.edu.

Parents/guardians only have to activate ONCE. If you have activated in the past, please click the "Forgot Password" link and enter your username or email address. Instructions will be emailed to you on how to reset your password.

Before you get started make sure you have:

  • your activation key. If you do not have a key, you may self-activate. Please scroll to the "Request Account Activation" section below.
  • an email address. It can be any email, but here's how to create a Gmail account.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open a web browser on any device and enter: portal.sfusd.edu
  2. Click ParentVUE >.Activate ParentVUE
  3. Click Activate, then click Activate Account.
  4. Read the Privacy Statement and click "I Accept."
  5. Enter your name and activation key exactly as they appear on your letter.
  6. Click Continue to Step 3.
  7. Choose a username (no spaces) and password (7 characters). Enter your email address and click "Complete Account Activation."

When you are successful, you will see school information available to your students! 

 

ParentVUE Mobile Application

You can download the ParentVUE app on your device. Search for "ParentVUE" on the App Store or Google Play and click download. To get started on the mobile app, follow the steps below:

  1. Open ParentVUE and click either Allow or Don’t Allow “ParentVUE” to send you notifications.
  2. Swipe left and enter your Zip Code.
  3. Click San Francisco Unified School District. It will ask you to verify, click Yes.
  4. Log in if you have already activated your account or click Create an Account to activate.

Request Account Activation

If you do not have an activation key, you may request an account activation by following the steps below:

  1. OPVUE request account activationpen a web browser on any device and enter: portal.sfusd.edu
  2. Click ParentVUE >.
  3. Click "Request Account Activation".
  4. Enter the following:
    • First Name*
    • Last Name*
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number*
    • Any of your students' Date of Birth*
  5. You will receive an email with instructions on how to complete your activation.

*All of your information must match what we have in our system for us to be able to look up your account information.

New to the District
