For the first time in 20 years, SFUSD will be bringing forward a new History-Social Studies curriculum. This is a major milestone, which will positively shape the future of History-Social Studies instruction in SFUSD.

If you are a parent/guardian/caregiver, student, site-based employee, or community partner, please complete this community survey by this upcoming Sunday, April 19, 2026, to help inform SFUSD and SFCOE's Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).

Look up facts and data about SFUSD, such as enrollment, student demographics, and more.

California state law has updated the Caregiver Affidavit form, used to assign a temporary caregiver for limited school and medical purposes, and has updated guidance for schools in the case of unplanned familial separation. Families are encouraged to update their own contact information as well emergency contacts at their school site or via ParentVUE.

Monthly automated Truancy letters were posted to Synergy on Friday, April 10, 2026. Families and schools can ensure that attendance data is correct and complete by following this guidance.

SFUSD Indian Education will host a Beadwork Series for Indigenous students and their families out of our center at Sanchez Elementary on Wednesdays, April 15 and April 22. Workshops will be followed with PAC meetings 6-7pm on both Wednesdays.

The Multilingual Pathways Department will award the Biliteracy Program Participation Recognition to all 5th and 8th graders in language programs leading to bilingualism and biliteracy, as encouraged by the California Department of Education.
