Learn more about the opportunities for staff and community members to review and provide input on the SELPA Local Plan on May 18. If you would like to provide input, please register to attend one of the meetings.

Please join the CAC for a community conversation about the SFUSD SELPA Local Plan on Thursday, May 28 from 6-8pm. Attendees will be able to provide feedback on the 2026-2027 SFUSD special education policies, governance and budget as well as the special education service plan. The information gathered at the meeting will inform SFUSD Special Education and CAC priorities for the coming year.

On Thursday, May 21, the Enrollment Center at 555 Franklin Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for staff professional development training. The office will reopen at 1 p.m. that day.

This virtual event is for parents/caregivers and supportive adults of foster youth and/or housing insecure students who are in high school and wish to learn about SFUSD credit recovery opportunities.

The SFUSD Queer Transgender Parent Advisory Council is now accepting applications from parents, caregivers and guardians who wish to serve a 2-year term on the council starting in the 2026-27 school year. The deadline to apply is Monday, June 15, 2026.

Looking for volunteer experience this summer? If you will be in grades 8–12 next school year, can contribute at least 10 hours of service and would like to gain experience for school and job applications, apply to be a Summer Youth Volunteer.

Caltrans will be closing large portions of 19th Avenue on two upcoming weekends. The next closure begins this Friday, May 8 at 3 a.m. The closures may impact school drop-off and pickup traffic, in addition to weekend travel. Students, families, and staff should expect major delays and detours, and plan for significantly increased travel time, especially for school commutes, activities, and weekend events.
