The application period for SERP has reopened and will run from March 31 to April 18, 2025.

At the March 11, 2025 Board Meeting, the SF Board of Education approved the implementation of the Supplemental Employee Retirement Program (SERP). On this webpage, we have attached an announcement letter providing important information for those eligible for this offer of the SERP, a link to frequently asked questions (FAQs), links to schedule an individual counseling appointment, and recordings, slides, and handouts from group informational sessions.

If you are a Classified Civil Service employee seeking information regarding regarding retiree health benefits and pension eligibility, please click here. Unfortunately, SFUSD Human Resources is unable to determine eligibility for retiree health benefits for Civil Service Classified employees.
