SFUSD Climate Action

Apply NOW for the 26/27 Climate Action Student Fellowship for SFUSD high school students in grades 9-12. 

Participants will:

• Design and implement individual or group CLIMATE ACTION PROJECTS in the pursuit of climate justice
• Increase climate literacy through interactive workshops hosted by experts in multiple fields
• Develop friendships with changemakers at SFUSD high schools
• Cultivate skills to reduce the climate anxiety that many of us feel
• Meet professionals across a range of climate-related career paths
• Attend in-person and virtual workshops (see schedule below)
• Attend monthly virtual coaching meetings to support their Climate Action Projects
• Earn up to $1500 in Fellowship Awards
• Serve on SFUSD’s Student Climate Advisory Board to participate and provide feedback to city agencies and SFUSD in climate-related policy, programming, and design

IMPORTANT DATES IN SEPTEMBER:

Tuesday, September 8th @ 8AM: applications are due.

Thursday, September 10th: accepted & waitlisted students will be notified.

Sunday, September 13th @ 12P: accepted students must CONFIRM their participation or their spot will be given to an applicant on the waitlist.

Saturday, September 19th @ 12:15P: Climate Action Student Fellowship 1st meeting.

The SFUSD Climate Action Fellowships are generously funded through our partnership with the SF Public Utilities Commission.
