Incoming 7th and 8th Grade Summer Work Packets

Dear Soon to Be 7th Graders and Families,

Congratulations on  making it through your first year of middle school and welcome to 7th grade! We are looking forward to working with you next year. This summer we are hoping to help limit the “summer slide” and keep the learning going. During your summer you will be tasked with completing a summer reading book with comprehension questions, as well as a math skills packet. This packet will be due on the first Friday of the year, August 20, 2026 and will be passed out on Friday May 29th.   

This packet will be the first grade entered into the gradebook for both your English and Math classes. Be sure to complete this to start off on the right foot! There will also be a raffle to celebrate those who complete their summer packet.

Please read the directions before each section.  Use your best handwriting and take your time completing this. Do not wait until the last minute. Try to follow the pacing guide provided in your packet in order to not be overwhelmed at the end of your break! Remember, you are reading an entire book! 

If you happen to lose the book or damage it, $5 will be due to Ms. Ulrich to replace the item. Please take care of this borrowed material. 

Please note, your child was assigned a book by the English teacher. There are 3 different books, please use the appropriate link packet for the book your child was assigned.

這本練習冊將作為你們英文和數學成績冊上的首個成績紀錄。請務必認真完成，為新的一年打好基礎！為了慶祝完成暑期練習冊的同學，我們也將舉辦抽獎活動。

請仔細閱讀每個部分的說明。請用工整的字跡認真完成，不要等到最後一刻才開始。為了避免假期結束時感到壓力過大，請盡量按照資料包中的進度指南進行閱讀！記住，你要讀的是一整本書！

如果您不慎遺失了資料包，可以在學校網站上找到替代品，或者在暑期課程期間找烏爾里希老師領取一份。

如果您遺失或損壞了書籍，則需要向烏爾里希老師支付 5 美元作為賠償。請妥善保管借閱的資料。

請注意，英語老師為您的孩子佈置了一本書。共有三本不同的書，請使用與您孩子被分配到的那本書對應的連結資料包。

Estimados alumnos y familias que pronto pasarán a séptimo grado:

¡Felicitaciones por haber completado su primer año de secundaria y bienvenidos a séptimo grado! Esperamos trabajar con ustedes el próximo año. Este verano, esperamos ayudarlos a evitar el retroceso académico y a mantener el aprendizaje. Durante el verano, deberán completar un libro de lectura con preguntas de comprensión, así como un paquete de ejercicios de matemáticas. Este paquete deberá entregarse el primer viernes del año, 20 de agosto de 2026, y se entregará el viernes 29 de mayo.

Esta será la primera calificación que se registrará en el registro de calificaciones de sus clases de inglés y matemáticas. ¡Asegúrense de completarlo para empezar con buen pie! También habrá una rifa para premiar a quienes completen su paquete de verano.

Por favor, lean las instrucciones antes de cada sección. Escriban con buena letra y tómense su tiempo para completarlo. No esperen hasta el último minuto. Intenten seguir la guía de ritmo que se incluye en su paquete para no sentirse abrumados al final de las vacaciones. ¡Recuerden que están leyendo un libro completo!

Si pierden este paquete, pueden encontrar un reemplazo en el sitio web de la escuela o pueden pasar a buscar una copia con la Sra. Ulrich durante el programa de verano. Si pierden o dañan el libro, deberán pagar $5 a la Sra. Ulrich para reemplazarlo. Por favor, cuiden este material prestado.

This packet will be due on the first Friday of the year, August 20, 2026 and will be passed out on Thursday May 28th and Friday May 29th.   

This packet will be the first grade entered into the gradebook for your English, Social Studies, and Math classes. Be sure to complete this to start off on the right foot!

Please read the directions before each section.  Use your best handwriting and take your time completing this. Do not wait until the last minute. Try to complete at least one page a day so you do not find yourself overwhelmed at the end of your break! 

If you happen to lose this packet, you can find a replacement on the school website or you can come and get a copy from Ms. Ulrich during the summer program.
