On Wednesday, March 27th, your student’s designs and work will be on display at our 7th annual MLK STrEAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Math) night! We are requiring that all MLK students attend* STrEAM night, so they can present, share, showcase and engage families and community members with what they have been working on and learning. We will have a MLK Band Performance, free books and raffle prizes! 

Dear Parents and Guardians,                                                

For the last few weeks, MLK students have been working on various projects in their classes: creating podcasts, designing cooling systems, engineering the great pyramids, crafting written essays, developing art pieces, analyzing amusement park data and designing fitness assessments to name just some of the projects.

On Wednesday, March 27th, your student’s designs and work will be on display at our 7th annual MLK STrEAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Math) night! We are requiring that all MLK students attend* STrEAM night, so they can present, share, showcase and engage families and community members with what they have been working on and learning.

We invite YOU and your family to come see and learn from the students of MLK! There will be interactive stations, displays, and musical performances as well as FOOD for all who attend!

*If your student cannot attend STrEAM night for at least 30 minutes between 4:30-6:00 pm on Wednesday March 27th, please write us a letter excusing their absence on the back of this handout and have them return it to their Advisory teacher. Students who attend are earning credit towards their grade. Students who cannot attend will have an alternative assignment to complete for credit.

¡El día miércoles 27 de marzo, los diseños y trabajos de su estudiante estarán en exhibición en nuestra séptima Noche Anual MLK STrEAM! Requerimos que todos los estudiantes de MLK asistan* a la noche STrEAM, para que puedan presentar, compartir, mostrar e involucrar a las familias y miembros de la comunidad con lo que han estado trabajando y aprendiendo. ¡Tendremos una presentación de MLK Band, libros gratis y premios de rifa!

Queridos Padres y Tutores Legales,

*Si su hijo/a no puede asistir a la noche STrEAM durante al menos 30 minutos entre las 4:30 y las 6:00 p. m. Los estudiantes que asisten obtienen créditos para su calificación. Los estudiantes que no puedan asistir tendrán una tarea alternativa para completar y obtener crédito.
