Announcement Message
Dear Lowell Community,
At approximately 12:35 p.m., the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) responded to an anonymous report through the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS) regarding a possible weapon at school. After further investigation, SFPD determined that there was no credible threat to student safety. There was no disruption to classes during the investigation. Everyone is safe and the school day continued as scheduled.
Out of an abundance of caution, SFPD officers will be nearby in case any support is needed. There is no indication of an active or immediate threat, and their presence is intended to add an extra layer of safety for our school community.
We are grateful when students and community members speak up about concerns. The Say Something Anonymous Reporting System is an important tool that allows 6th to 12th grade students to report potential safety issues confidentially. We encourage students to continue using this system if they see or hear something concerning. Reporting helps us respond quickly and keep our community safe.
We understand that situations like this can be concerning for families. We want to reassure you that the safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority.
If you have any questions or believe your child needs additional support, please do not hesitate to contact me.
In community,
Principal Jan Bautista
