Vision
Through the social sciences, students further develop a love of who they are and where they come from, as well as cultivate an understanding of their power and place in the world. Students will identify, analyze, and reimagine oppressive systems in order to transform them; develop and expand meaningful relationships with land and people in order to collectively actualize a truly just and democratic society.
Mission
This will be realized by the creation and implementation of a rigorous Tier 1 History/ Social-Science Core Curriculum. Students have opportunities to engage in rich inquiry and responsibly apply social science discipline-specific skills (history, geography, government, economics, etc.).
