Enrollment Key Dates

SY24-25 Spring Transfer assignment letters mailed to families who applied by 11/8. 

Note: transfer results are final (no option to accept/decline).

SFUSD Winter Break (schools closed) - 1st week.

Open Enrollment Period for families who want to change schools.

Enrollment Center closed to in-person visits.

Dec. 23-34: open on phone and email

Dec. 25: closed for holiday

Dec. 26-27: open on phone and email

SFUSD Winter Break (schools closed) - 2nd week.

Open Enrollment Period for families who want to change schools.

Enrollment Center open for in-person visits, phone, and email.

Jan. 1: closed for holiday.

January 6, 2025: first day of Spring instruction.

Final week of Open Enrollment Period for families who want to change schools for the 2024-25 school year.

Enrollment Center closed to in-person visits for Winter Break; available by phone and email.

Dec. 25, 2024: closed for holiday

Main Round Deadline. Last day to submit, revise or cancel TK -12 applications.

Interdistrict transfer applications due. Interdistrict permits may be submitted until 2/17/25.

Wait List Application Opens

Families applying for the first time after this date can join the end of the Wait List for schools they are interested in. These families will need to do Open Enrollment between April and August to get a school assignment. 

Families who already applied for the Main Round, but who did not get their top choice,  will be automatically added to the Wait Lists of schools above their assigned school on their list, and do not need to resubmit the Wait List application unless they want to change the ranking of schools on their Wait List.

Main Round assignment letters mailed to families who applied by 1/31.

Inter-district transfer applicants are assigned and notified.

Waitlist  status is live on ParentVue.

Last day to accept or decline the Main Round assignment.

Last day to submit a Family and/or Medical Hardship Appeal.

Spring Break (schools closed)

First Wait List assignments sent this week, then on rolling basis as space is available.

Appeals decisions sent to families and included in waitlist.

Open Enrollment for 2025-26 begins.
