Interested members of the public are invited to share your input on possible new names for schools in San Francisco. These ideas will be shared with the communities from individual school sites and also with our Blue Ribbon panel. Please use the link below to access the Google Form. Board of Education Regular Meeting - Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 3 pm

The Board of Education will consider Resolution No. 211-12A1 to approve the committee's recommended list of schools for renaming. Information to access this meeting is available at the Board of Education website.

About the School Renaming Advisory Committee

On May 22, 2018, the SFUSD Board of Education passed Resolution No. 184-10A1 to establish a blue ribbon panel to oversee a formalized process that reviews San Francisco public school names. This panel will be responsible for considering the relevance of schools names and appropriateness of these names when they honor historical figures and making recommendations to the Board of Education for further action.
