The Student Teacher Stipend Program Link to this section
SFUSD will pay student teachers the Student Teacher Stipend grant funding, providing $10,000 stipends to credential candidates during the school year in which they complete their student teaching. Student teachers don't need to apply directly, their universities will apply on their behalf, provided they have a Memorandum of Understanding with SFUSD.
After completing student teacher onboarding, student teachers must also apply to become SFUSD substitute teachers. This step is required for everyone in order to receive the stipend payment. The application and onboarding instructions will be provided after student teacher onboarding requirements have been submitted.
