The San Francisco Alliance of Black School Educators (SFABSE) invites African American high school SFUSD seniors who will graduate by June 2023 to participate in its scholarship program.

The San Francisco Alliance of Black School Educators presents its 28th Annual African American Honor Roll celebration & 19th Community Awards Ceremony hybrid. In 2023, all SFUSD students of African American descent in Grades 3-12 who have earned a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or higher (1st Semester 2022) will be honored for their academic achievement.

Opportunities for families and community members to share your feedback and influence the adoption of PK-5 Language Arts Curriculum that will support teaching and learning in San Francisco for years to come.

Inclusive Schools Weeks provides an opportunity for SFUSD educators and community members to teach students about disabilities AND the intersection of disabilities with other categories of identity, like race, gender, class, cultural heritage, language preference and other differences.

Over the weekend of Nov. 18, the district successfully migrated Synergy to the cloud. As a result, you may experience difficulty logging in to the mobile app. Get instructions on how to troubleshoot.

Truancy letters for unexcused absences will be reinstated as of November 2022. Learn more about what families can expect after an unexcused absence.

The CCEIS (Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services) team members are recruiting Black classified/certificated staff, community-based organizations (affiliated with SFUSD), retirees from SFUSD, AND Parents/Caregivers to be a part of sharing thoughts and solutions that help to interrupt the over-representation of Black students going into Special Education under emotional disturbance and other specific criteria.

NAMI San Francisco is mental health advocacy organization and SFUSD partner. Our team is hosting a range of public events in December that are open to all community members.

The Educational Placement Center (EPC) will be open Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. to provide enrollment help for families who aren't available 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

SFUSD schools will be closed Nov. 21-25 for Fall Break, but some PK and School Age OST programs are open on Nov. 21 and Nov. 22.

PK and OST programs at Early Education and Elementary Schools will open Nov 21-22.

Access to ParentVUE, Online Forms (school applications), and StudentVUE will be offline from Friday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. and will be back online on Monday, Nov. 21.

COLOR self-swab test kits will continue to be available through March 2023. These are not rapid test kits, but RT-LAMP test kits that require submitting a swab sample to be tested in a clinical lab.

The weekly Family Announcements Bulletin (FAB) will be on Fall Break and will not be sent to families on Nov. 24. FAB will resume on Dec. 1.

The new VĀSĀ High School: A Certificate Pathway for SFUSD Juniors and Seniors begins Spring 2023! This is a two-course certificate program in Critical Pacific Islands & Oceania Studies created in partnership with SFUSD and the City College of San Francisco.
