El Concilio Comunitario Latinx es un nuevo grupo de abogacía para padres latinos en el Distrito Escolar Unificado de San Francisco. Este grupo aboga por las necesidades multifacéticas y diversas de los estudiantes latinos y sus familias, al tiempo que fomenta la participación con educadores y administradores dentro del SFUSD. Su objetivo es cerrar la brecha de oportunidades y logros educativos centrándose en estrategias y recursos destinados a alterar el patrón a largo plazo de resultados desiguales para los estudiantes latinos.

The Latinx Community Council is a new parent advisory group for Latinx families in San Francisco Unified School District. This group advocates for the multifaceted and diverse needs of Latinx students and their families, while fostering engagement with educators and administrators within SFUSD. It’s objective is to bridge the educational achievement and opportunity gap by focusing on strategies and resources aimed at disrupting the long term pattern of inequitable outcomes for latinx students.

The Latinx Community Council convenes monthly alternating between leadership and general community sessions.

March 6, 2025 Virtual Meeting: Proposed Changes to SFUSD's Spanish --- Marzo 6, 2025 Reunión Virtual: Cambios Propuestos a los Programas de Inmersión y Bilingüismo en Español de SFUSD DLI & Biliteracy Programs
The Latinx Community Council invites you to participate in a meeting to discuss a proposal to change SFUSD's Spanish Language Dual Immersion and Biliteracy Program models. Come learn about how the proposed changes, which would start in Fall 2025 and would result in students receiving a more equal share of English and Spanish language instruction at earlier grades. This will be a virtual meeting on Thursday, March 6 5:30-6:30pm, which you can access at the following link: bit.ly/SFUSDLCCGeneral. For more information please refer to the flyer below.
El Concilio Comunitario Latinx le invita a participar en una reunión para conocer una propuesta para cambiar los Programas de Inmersión o Bilingüismo en Español de SFUSD. Estos cambios propuestos, que empezarían en el Otoño del 2025 podrían resultar en que todos los estudiantes en los programas de idiomas tengan igual cantidad de instrucción en inglés como español, aun a partir del Kinder.
