What is the Mātua (Parent) Advisory Council (MAC)?
Why is a Mātua (Parent) Advisory Council important?
A Mātua (Parent) Advisory Council is a group that helps identify the concerns of students, parents, and community members and assists in developing solutions. Parents or guardians whose children attend SFUSD school are eligible to serve as members of the advisory council.
The council provides information to parents of participating students regarding issues, and in consultation with other parents to bring questions, concerns, and ideas regarding issues to the attention of school staff, administration and other school community stakeholders.
