Advisory Councils & Committees

AAPAC advises the Board of Education, provides a forum to hear the ideas of SFUSD’s African American/Black families, and responds to those ideas by educating and informing parents of district resources, policies, and programs.

The mission of the Arts Equity Committee (AEC) is to advance social justice and student equity in arts education across SFUSD.

The CSOC advises the Board of Education and increases oversight, transparency, and accountability for charter schools.

The CBOC advises the Board of Education and reviews the spending of Prop A bond money.

The purpose of the Community Advisory Committee for Special Education is to champion effective special education programs and services and advise the Board of Education on priorities in the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA).

DELAC provides guidance and advice to the Board of Education and SFUSD staff on the needs of and services for English learners.

The purpose of the ELAC (or subcommittee, if appropriate) is to advise the principal and school staff on programs and services for English learners and the SSC on the development of the Single School Plan for Student Achievement. The ELAC

SFUSD's Equity Audit & Action Planning Committee is one of many steps to advance SFUSD’s goals around equity and access.

The High School Task Force will gather input from the community and provide recommendations to the Superintendent on ways to improve policies and programs, as well as examine admissions policies.

SFUSD parents, caregivers, district advisory committees, staff, labor and educational partners support the development and monitoring of SFUSD's LCAP

The Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander PAC's commitment is to serve our PI students and families.

The Parcel Tax Oversight Committee advises the Board of Education and provides oversight on how SFUSD spends parcel taxes from the Quality Teacher & Education Act and the Living Wage for Educators Act.

The PEEF CAC serves as a conduit for informing as well as receiving input from SFUSD students, families, staff, and community members) in order to assist the Superintendent and the Board of Education to effectively allocate PEEF funding.

This committee will consider the relevance of schools names and appropriateness of these names when they honor historical figures and make recommendations to the Board of Education for further action.

Each SFUSD school must have an elected SSC to represent parents, students, community members, and school staff in the school governance process.

The SAC is a youth-led organization committed to providing a voice for SFUSD students by representing and presenting the interests of students to the administrative and policy-making bodies of the SFUSD.

The WLC advises the Board of Education and makes suggestions on communications and policies related to language programs supported by Multilingual Pathways.
