Independent Study Packets

Introduction

Here is a list that shows where printed Independent Study Packets are available. Virtual packets for all grades are available NOW by clicking on the specific links for each grade below.

You can visit your local SF Public Library to print your packet free of cost. SF public libraries also have Inclusion Toolkits available at their sites. SF Public Libraries will be open during their regular hours. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If sites are out of packets for the grade/s you require, SFUSD’s Student Family School Resource Link will continue to provide support for families and staff this week. Email requests to sflink@sfusd.edu, call 415-340-1716 (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Mondays - Fridays), or complete an online request form to have packet/s delivered. Messages for SFUSD High School Students - updated 2/9/2026 @ 6pm

Activities for Seniors and their Families:

Check out this list of Senior year resources from the SFUSD counseling team. While schools are closed, you may want to get a head start on these important activities to get you even more ready for life after high school.

SFUSD Summer 2026 Program Interest Form is Open Now

The Summer 2026 Interest Form is open now through February 27, 2026. Only currently enrolled and continuing SFUSD high school students are eligible to complete the form (you must log into your S.SFUSD.EDU email account). Check out this slide deck with more detailed information about each of the summer programs.

Due to far smaller numbers of opportunities this summer, we encourage youth to look into other opportunities with partners such as Opportunities for All through the Mayor's Office, Human Rights Commission, and JCYC, or Enterprise for Youth. You can check out DCYF's Summer Opportunities page, or Our 415 sites to check out summer programs and services for families.

The College and Career Opportunities page includes links to other summer and school year programs, outside of SFUSD, organized by industry sector, and it is updated regularly.

CIF Athletics Updates:

While SFUSD school sites are closed, ALL athletic-related activities are cancelled and ALL cancelled competitions will be recorded as no contests.

Students Taking Dual Enrollment CCSF Courses:

For the approximately 800 high school students who are taking a Dual Enrollment CCSF course (online, at a CCSF campus, or at their own high school), CCSF courses will continue next week while schools are closed. Students are encouraged to attend these courses. For courses that normally meet in an SFUSD building, nearby alternate locations are being provided by CCSF. Students should check their SFUSD email and their CCSF email for the most current information and updates. Students should also be sure to check their Canvas accounts and reach out directly to their instructor for any support on keeping up with their course responsibilities. We appreciate our partnership with CCSF and their ability to pivot and maintain learning continuity for our students.

TRST Credit Recovery at CCSF:

In addition, students enrolled in TRST Credit Recovery courses—either online or at the CCSF Mission campus—will continue with their current schedules, and classes will remain unchanged.

Mission Bay Hub:

The Mission Bay Hub program courses will not be happening while schools are closed.

High School Credit Recovery (HSCR) Classes:

All High School Credit Recovery (HSCR) classes, including evening, Saturday and asynchronous courses, will be paused while SFUSD schools are closed. Students can continue to work on assignments that are already posted and/or are available to them. The HSCR program and schedule will be adjusted accordingly so that students will be able to earn their credits. Classes scheduled for Saturday, February 7 will take place as scheduled.

CNA Program:

SFUSD seniors participating in the College & Career Readiness CNA Program will continue as scheduled this weekend.
