Hello!

Next week is Thanksgiving break. There are no classes next week. We will return to school on Monday November 30th. Students should have no new work to complete over the break. Seniors have time to work on their college applications, and all students will have the opportunity to complete any missing assignments. I hope that everyone has an opportunity to log off and get some rest.

When we return there are only three weeks left in the semester. All teachers are creating plans so that students can bring their grades up during those weeks. Please encourage your student to check in with their teachers. Additionally, some teachers will be giving final exams, and some will not. All final tests and projects will be completed in class. We will follow the regular schedule for all of December.

This year has been very difficult for students who struggle with depression and other mental health issues. Members of the PTSA shared this link to a free workshop for families titled: Helping When Your Child Is Hurting: What Every Parent Needs to Know to Prevent Adolescent Self-Harm & Suicide https://www.sfiap.com/ondemandworkshopsforclient.html

Senior parents, please encourage your student to order their cap and gown. The link to order is in their Google classroom for Government. As of today, 75 seniors have placed their orders.

Lastly, here’s a little silliness from our counseling department: Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope that you all have a safe, healthy, and restful holiday. See you in a week :)
