Happy Friday all!

One of the things we spent time on last year was developing new school wide expectations. These aren’t “rules” or things we don’t approve of. Our expectations are aspirational, who do we hope that students will be? Most schools' expectations are an acronym. At Wallenberg, the bulldogs BARK. Our students are:

  • Brave
  • Accountable
  • Respectful
  • Kind.

It’s been interesting to see the ways that students are showing their BARK this year. Being brave has taken on a new meaning in distance learning. Participation in class is more intimidating for a lot of students, reaching out to make connections with teachers and peers is more daunting. And yet, every time I am in classrooms I see your kids speaking up, speaking out, and making the most of their time. I am honored to have the opportunity to be even a small part of your kids lives and education. They are amazing young people.

If your student has a chromebook or hotspot that is malfunctioning, please email me directly and we can arrange an exchange.

Next Monday the 19th from 6-7pm we will have a parent meeting. The counseling department will present about their program and be available to answer any questions. I will also be available for general questions as well. Real-time translation will be available in Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish. If you require translation you will call this number while in the meeting:
