Hello!

I hope that you are all staying safe and healthy. Between the fires and the pandemic it feels like 2020 really wants us to stay in the house.

We have been looking at attendance data, which is far more accurate than it was for the first weeks, and I am so happy with how well your students are doing at showing up for distance learning. I know it’s not always easy, but their dedication is impressive. There are two weeks left in this grading period, check in with your students to make sure they are submitting all of their work, if you have questions, please feel free to reach out to teachers directly.

On Wednesday, under orange skies, nearly 200 9th and 10th graders showed up to pick up materials for their classes. Thank you to all the families who helped make that happen. We had to cancel the Thursday and Friday pick-up events because of the bad air quality. I am hoping we can reschedule for Tuesday and Wednesday next week from 2-4. I will be monitoring the air quality and will update you next week. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to keep everyone safe.

Back-to-school night will be Wednesday September 23rd 6:00-7:30. It will be entirely online. I will send more details next week.

I hope that you all have a safe and restful weekend.

Kim Kelly
