Now is a great time to apply to scholarships and financial aid. If you haven't done so already, make sure to complete your FAFSA/CA Dream application as soon as possible. Maisin Scholarship

Applications now open (apply). 

  • Deadline February 19, 2021

The Maisin Scholar Award acknowledges students who exhibit unwavering commitment to their future and educational goals. The award is designed to support the needs of underserved students within the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) whose greatest strengths may not necessarily be in their academic performance, but who nevertheless demonstrate a strong dedication to continuing their post-secondary education. Maisin Scholars are awarded as much as $3,000 annually for up to four years of scholarship support. Every year, 75 high school seniors receive the Maisin Scholar Award. View full details. 

NEW! Starting on Nov. 29, we will also have zoom office hours on Monday afternoons from 3-5 PM to answer any questions or help students with their application.  Students can sign up for these office hours here or reach out by email to our 2-year coordinator Gabriella Le or our 4-year coordinator Sam Pfau with any questions.

 

The 10,000 Degrees: Meritus Scholarship:


awards multi-year scholarship, college success advising, and career development support. *Please note that Meritus accepts scholars regardless of documentation or citizenship status*

  • 40-50 scholarships of $1000 - $1500 depending on if the student applied for FAFSA or CA dream act

 

The Association of Chinese Teachers (TACT) Scholarship

For SFUSD Chinese American high school seniors who will graduate in June 2022. TACT will award over 12 scholarships of $2000 to students who will be pursuing higher education.

  • Deadline: March 11, 2021

  • Required: submit online application, 1-2 letters of recommendation, and unofficial transcript.

  • Application support session: Saturday, February 26th @ 4:30pm

2022 Superintendent's 21st Century Awards

The Superintendent’s 21st Century Award will be granted to six graduating SFUSD seniors who exemplify a particular strength in one or more of the characteristics of the SFUSD Graduate Profile.

All SFUSD seniors are eligible for this award regardless of citizenship status.

Winners will each receive a $2,000 scholarship and be honored at a ceremony on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Recipients of the Superintendent’s 21st Century Award will also be featured in a story on ABC Channel 7 news. SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: $2,000 per student (6 scholarships available). View Application Here

"No Sweat" Scholarship 

We are excited to share our new offering of a $2,500 scholarship grant for your High School Students Grades 9 -12! This is a quarterly scholarship of $2,500 that is super easy to apply with NO GPA requirements, NO minimum income requirements, and NO ESSAY TO WRITE. This new scholarship will run January 1 st   –  March 31 st, 2022 . Students can apply for free at www.cirkledin.com/scholarships .

​​​​​​​2022 Koshland Young Leader Awards (KYLA) - Juniors only

Is a scholarship award program that recognizes young leaders who balance extraordinary challenges yet continue to show academic promise and community leadership. Each year, 11 outstanding SFUSD juniors are awarded $10,000 each to fund college tuition and/or education-related expenses. STEM Scholarship Opportunity

Spark* SF Public Schools and Alexandria Real Estate (ARE) are pleased to announce ARE's 2022-2023 scholarship opportunity for three SFUSD high school seniors. Scholarships are offered in the amount of $5,000 annually, for up to four years, to each student while they attend either a two- or four-year program at a community college or a college/university of their choice to study one of the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields. Applicants will need to complete an application form and submit a school transcript, an essay, and a project from their student portfolio. 

  • Deadline: April 11, 2022

CCSF Foundation Promise Scholarship

  • Deadline: May 6, 2022

Minimum Requirements. You are eligible if you:

  • Graduate from a San Francisco high school (public or private) in Spring 2022

  • Possess a 2.75 cumulative high school GPA (end of Fall 2021)

  • Are transfer-bound

  • Are willing to attend CCSF as part of a Metro Transfer Academies cohort & complete within 2 years (3 years maximum for STEM majors)

  • Maintain a 2.75 GPA at CCSF
