At the Board meeting on March 11, 2025, the Board of Education adopted short-term evaluation metrics. Given the recent leadership transitions, the purpose of these metrics is to continue the implementation of effective governance practices and implement new and improved systems/routines for engaging schools, staff, and the community.

On April 22, 2025, Board Leadership proposed initial recommendations for each metric, including three ad-hoc committees: board policy (metric 1a), progress monitoring (metric 1b), and public engagement (metric 2a). The purpose of each ad-hoc committee is to:

  • Progress Monitoring: Articulate clear standards for effective progress monitoring, clear expectations for monitoring meetings, and recommends a process that ensures transparent feedback loops between the Board, staff, and Superintendent
  • Public Engagement: Recommend an annual calendar of engagement between the entire Board and broader public
