As Head of Finance for the San Francisco Unified School District, Meghan Wallace oversees all the financial operations and activities of the district, including budget, accounting, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing, and contracts. She works to ensure that resources are strategically aligned with district goals and priorities and expended in compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
Prior to joining the district in July 2019, Ms. Wallace worked for the City and County of San Francisco for 11 years, including with the Mayor's Office of Public Policy and Finance and most recently as the Finance Director at the Port of San Francisco. Earlier in her career, Ms. Wallace served as a program analyst within the Environment Branch of the federal Office of Management and Budget.
Ms. Wallace has served on the School Site Council and the board of the Parent Teacher Association for Miraloma Elementary School in San Francisco. Ms. Wallace holds a Master of Public Policy from the Maryland School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
