Originally posted on March 26: At the March 24 Board meeting, the Board of Education approved the revised Math Placement Policy, which includes offering Algebra I to eighth grade students. Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, Algebra I will be offered at ALL SFUSD middle and K-8 schools, providing students across the district with opportunities for rigorous math coursework.
