On Thursday, April 16, the Enrollment Center at 555 Franklin Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for staff professional development training. The office will reopen at 1 p.m. that day.

Originally posted on March 26: At the March 24 Board meeting, the Board of Education approved the revised Math Placement Policy, which includes offering Algebra I to eighth grade students. Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, Algebra I will be offered at ALL SFUSD middle and K-8 schools, providing students across the district with opportunities for rigorous math coursework.

Middle and high school students can give a 3–5 minute presentation on an African American leader’s relevance today, and students K–12 can perform poetry for cash prizes at the Peace, Love & Soul Food Juneteenth Block Party in San Francisco on June 19–20.

The Stonestown YMCA is hosting a month-long Girls Flag Football Clinic! The program aims to create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where girls can learn the growing sport of Flag Football!

The SF Shakespeare Festival presents a one-hour, audience-interactive version of Julius Caesar with walk-on roles and a post-performance Q&A at Koret Auditorium in the SF Main Library on April 18.

All TK-13 SFUSD schools will be closed March 27-April 3 for Spring Break, but all PK and School Age OST programs are open during Spring Break (except for March 31). SFUSD offices will remain open March 27-April 3.
