Clases de teatro impartida en español para estudiantes de primaria. Ofrecemos una sesión de otoño y otra de primavera; ambas concluyen con una presentación pública en español que destaca un cuento folclórico latinoamericano o un libro ilustrado en español. --Theatre classes fully in Spanish for elementary-aged students. We have a fall and a spring session, and they both end with a public presentation in Spanish that highlights a Latin American folktale or a picture book in Spanish.

The Aquaworkforce Internship is a paid opportunity for high school students to work as YMCA staff while earning certifications in CPR and Emergency Oxygen, qualifying them to become lifeguards.

The Cow Palace Event & Arena Center in San Francisco/Daly City will be hosting an annual creative arts competition celebrating the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a focus on “speaking out” and encouraging youth to share their voice respectfully and effectively. Entries open Oct. 19, 2026. Entries are due on Feb. 12, 2027.

The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office invites SFUSD students and families to Keepin’ It Safe in the City, a free public safety community event on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

From the San Francisco Public Library: Free financial counseling and one-on-one financial planning are available through two separate programs for San Franciscans.

ParentVUE class schedules will be available beginning at 5 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 14. Some schools may not have schedules available immediately as they continue finalizing their master schedules. All schedules will be available by Monday, Aug. 17, at the latest.

Broadway Tunnel construction beginning August 17 may increase traffic and travel times near Chinatown and North Beach schools, so families and staff should plan extra time for drop-off and pickup.

Originally posted on Aug. 6, 2026: Make sure your student is up to date on all required immunizations by school entry on Aug. 17 to reduce the risk of exclusion. There may be a wait for immunization appointments with your healthcare provider, so get started as soon as possible.

SFUSD will be hosting a SAT School Day at Lowell High School for only SFUSD students on Monday, October 12, 2026, starting at 8:30 a.m., ending by 12 noon. Monday, October 12th is a SFUSD school holiday, Indigenous Peoples' Day. SAT School Day is a real SAT test administration except it must be hosted on a weekday. SAT scores from this test administration will be available to students on November 5. There are no makeup dates for this testing opportunity.

SFUSD will be hosting the 2026 PSAT/NMSQT at Lowell High School for SFUSD students on two dates - Monday, October 12 (Indigenous Peoples Day school holiday) and Saturday, October 17, both dates starting at 8:30 a.m., ending by 12 noon. Students will choose one of those test dates for the PSAT/NMSQT.

San Francisco high school students can apply for the Fall 2026 High School Elections Ambassador program, gaining civic engagement experience and outreach skills while earning a certificate signed by the Mayor. Applications for the Fall 2026 program close August 30.
