Hello and happy Friday. I hope everyone had a relaxing fall break.

We are now only two weeks away from the end of the semester. Most teachers are not giving final exams in the traditional sense. There are a lot of final projects and end-of-chapter tests happening over the next two week. Work on projects and tests should mostly be completed during class time, students should not have a lot of extra work between now and December 18th. If your student is behind in any of their classes, encourage them to check in with their teachers, there are still opportunities to improve their grade.

Devon Cresci, our Wellness coordinator, wanted me to share this resource with you: Supporting Children and Teens During this Holiday Season. We know that this year has been very difficult for all of us, and that your students may be struggling. If your family needs any additional support of any kind through the holiday season (or at any time), please reach out. We can help to connect you with a variety of resources

The SFUSD Student Advisory Council (SAC) is doing their annual Fill a Student’s Heart (FASH) fundraiser. All proceeds benefit homeless students in San Francisco. You can purchase a T-shirt, or make a donation at the links below.

If you have not yet completed the Multipurpose Family Income Form (MFIF) please do so ASAP. The deadline has been extended until December 16. The newsletter email contains a link to a separate document that outlines the benefits beyond free and reduced lunch. The rate of completion also affects our school funding. The site to complete is linked below.
