Newsletter

Hello!

I’ve got just a few updates for this week. I want to thank those of you who came to the parent meeting on Monday. I will continue to hold those meetings monthly. I will change the day and time to try to accommodate everyone’s schedules. Know that in the meantime, if you ever have questions or concerns, you can email me directly.

Please complete the Multipurpose Family Income Form (MFIF) for this year. It is located here: https://www.sfusd.edu/services/health-wellness/nutrition-school-meals/apply. This form does not only qualify your student for free or reduced-price lunch. At high school if your student qualifies it can also reduce or eliminate fees for college applications, SATs, and AP tests. It also provides us with important data for school funding. The deadline for submission is December 16.

This week the Board of Education discussed the plans for reopening. To track our progress toward reopening, the district has created a reopening dashboard that will show our current progress on all of the items that need to be in complete before we reopen schools.

There are some changes to technology distribution starting next week. The Department of Technology is doing exchanges by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Wallenberg and Burton high schools. If you need to exchange a district-issued hotspot or chromebook, please email and we will get you set up (any staff member can help with this). New technology requests will be mailed to your home. If you have a first time request, email me for next steps.

This year Veteran’s Day falls on a Wednesday. Our schedule for the week of November 9th will be altered. The schedule is in a separate attachment. Teachers will post it and I will send it to all students as well.
