ELPAC TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS: | |
1. INITIAL ELPAC | MANDATORY AUGUST TEST COORDINATOR MEETING 1 August Meeting - Training for Initial ELPAC is mandated annually by the state. PRIOR YEAR'S TRAININGS DO NOT COUNT. This training qualifies the attendee to administer group domains and to train others on site as needed. MAKEUP INFORMATION IS HERE MANDATORY SEPTEMBER TC Meeting. This meeting is focused on SFUSD district assessments with updates on State Testing as well. Register here. |
2. INITIAL ELPAC PHASE II | INITIAL ELPAC PHASE II DESIGNEE ORIENTATION MEETING Non Newcomer schools administer both group domains AND 1:1 domains. Phase II Designee is assigned by site administrator via this Designee ASSIGNMENT FORM -After designee is assigned, they attend an orientation meeting. ORIENTATION MEETING REGISTRATION FORM (ended) SEPT. 24: 3:00-4:00PM OR SEPT. 25: 10:00-11:00AM |
3. ALTERNATE ELPAC (&/or CAA) | INITIAL AND SUMMATIVE ALTERNATE ELPAC 2025-26 Case managers or another teacher on site familiar with the student/s taking alternate state tests must administer the test/s. Annual certification is required for administration. An Orientation is offered each year in fall on the process and how to become certified. Register for one of two meetings HERE. This meeting is also helpful for Test Coordinators to become familiar with the processes (not required for TCs). (note: Each certification is valid Nov 1-Oct 31 of following year) |
4. SUMMATIVE ELPAC | JANUARY TEST COORDINATOR MEETING: MANDATORY FOR TEST COORDINATORS Authorizes TC to administer and/or train site staff to administer the Summative ELPAC and SBAC (CAASPP) tests. Also includes updates on Star testing. Register HERE for Jan. TC Meeting. JANUARY TC MEETING (SUMMATIVE TESTING- ELPAC & SBAC) |

*INITIAL ELPAC: ADMINISTERED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND HAS TWO PHASES: PHASE I: August - October 31, 2024 Administration of Initial ELPAC (managed by Testing coordinator). - PHASE II: November - EOY (managed by testing coordinator and Phase II designee) Note: TC and PH II designee can be the same person or the PH II designee can be another staff member monitored by the TC.
SUMMATIVE ELPAC: ADMINISTERED FEBRUARY - MAY, ANNUALLY
ELPAC Administrator/Examiners must be SFUSD employees who:
- Are fluent in English.
- Have received 2025-26 ELPAC Administration Training from Achievement Assessments Office or the school's test coordinator. (Initial and Summative ELPAC are comprised of two separate trainings. One does not count for the other.)
- Phase II designee must have supplemental 1:1 certification/s for applicable domains of Initial ELPAC
- Signed a Test Security Affidavit in the TOMS testing platform
- Alternate ELPAC examiners must be SFUSD teachers
