Summary
Educators rely on data from multiple measures to guide instruction, learn about their students, and support students in their learning goals. COVID-19 school closures, the cancellation of summative assessments, and the lack of these data, may make it challenging to determine what students understand and are able to do at the beginning of the year. As such, the following assessments and measures are now available for sites and teachers to flexibly use. These assessments can be used to gauge unfinished learning and inform planning/instruction in Social-Emotional Learning, English Language Arts, and Mathematics at the beginning of the school year, as well as support learning throughout the school year.
