Superintendent Dr. Matt Wayne is sharing an update on the district’s Resource Alignment Initiative.

Following the launch this school year of its new initiative “Each and Every by Name,” a comprehensive system-wide approach to supporting African American and Pacific Islander kindergarten students, Superintendent Dr. Matt Wayne announced gains in outcomes for these students, far exceeding the ambitious targets set for the 2023-24 school year.

SFUSD is among Bay Area districts awarded $1.2 million in state funding to provide tuition assistance for up to 88 aspiring school leaders from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue an advanced degree and administrative credential with the Principal Leadership Institute and Leadership Support Program.
