Kindergarten Math

Students using objects like cereal and gummy bears to make groups of 10

In Kindergarten, students spend a lot of time learning about numbers. Students:

  1. represent and compare whole numbers, first, with sets of objects; then,
  2. understand addition and subtraction (and learn how to add and subtract story problems within 10); and
  3. describe shapes and space.
