Books for every classroom and information for every parent: Highlights for March 2-8, 2016

Business and civic leaders will be at Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy to celebrate Read Across America Day where thousands of new "leveled books" (reading material for each student that focuses on words and sentences of increasing complexity) are being delivered to all classrooms. In partnership with First Book and SPARK* SF Public Schools, SFUSD will equip every kindergarten to fifth grade classroom with books and tools to provide literacy-rich environments and experiences. As it is Dr. Seuss’ birthday, his famous “Cat in the Hat” character will be on hand for the celebration of books.

Where:  Harvey Milk Human Rights Academy / 4235 19th St.

WBMS has a state-of-the-art campus with the only middle school science laboratory in San Francisco.

All workshops will be presented in Cantonese (English translation available).
