The 2026 Superintendent’s 21st Century Scholarship Awards program is currently accepting applications.

About the Award: Link to this section

The award will be granted to six graduating SFUSD seniors who exemplify a particular strength in one or more of the characteristics of the SFUSD Graduate Profile. Winners will each receive a $2,000 scholarship and be featured in a video and SFUSD social media.

All SFUSD seniors are eligible for this award regardless of citizenship status.

(You are allowed to edit responses until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026). 

Step 1: Prepare your essay, in less than 1,000 words, describing how you exemplify one of the characteristics in the Graduate Profile and how your SFUSD experience supported your development in this area (we know you may exemplify several, but please select only one to focus on for this essay).

Step 2: Prepare two letters of recommendation.

Step 3: Fill out an application form online and attach your essay and letters of recommendation.
