Through a robust process of assessing school site conditions and students’ needs, SFUSD is making plans for much-needed improvements over the next 10 years. 

SFUSD has identified a limited set of Capital Planning Priorities to help SFUSD transform our students’ experiences with safe, modern, and functional schools, with input from families and staff. 

We are focused on creating: 

• Safe schools fully equipped to protect our students and school communities
• Modern school environments that inspire student curiosity and enthusiasm for learning 
• Comfortable, engaging spaces that make all students feel valued and respected at school

To enable SFUSD to implement our Capital Plan, we are placing a Bond measure before voters in March 2024. We want to hear from the entire SFUSD community. Feedback will shape how we move forward with this important work.
