Internships Working with Younger Children and Youth

    Early Childhood Education

    Some Interns work with children ages 4-5 at SFUSD Early Childhood Education sites throughout the City. Locations include but are not limited to: Carver, Commodore Stockton, Frank McCoppin, Las Americas, Leola Havard, Noriega, San Miguel, Theresa S. Mahler, and Zaida T. Rodriguez.       K-5 Out of School Time Classroom Interns

      Some Interns will work with children in grades K-5 at SFUSD elementary schools in Out of School Time (OST) programs. Interns will work with children in the classroom, assisting teachers and students in learning and reviewing class material. Check out some of our interns on ABC7 who are part of our Mission Educator Project. The Summer 2026 Interest Form is now closed...please check back in early 2027 for next summer's interest form.

        Elementary After School and Summer Camp Internships

        Some Interns work with children in grades K-5 at SFUSD elementary schools in their after school and summer enrichment/camp programs. Interns work with children in the classroom and on the playground, helping them to find new ways to stretch their imaginations. Some CBO partners include: ASEP, BACR, Boys & Girls Clubs, CYC, Jamestown, Mission Graduates, R.O.C.K., TelHi and YMCA.           Middle School Internships

          Some Interns work with children in grades 6-8 at SFUSD middle schools with after school programs and summer enrichment camps. Interns will work with children in the classroom, assisting teachers and students in learning and reviewing class material, in addition to supporting on the playground.
