SFUSD Summer Opportunities
SFUSD will be offering several summer opportunities to extend learning time during the summer months. Programs offered through SFUSD include both academic and enrichment programs, focusing on our youngest learners through year-round PreK programming, after school programming, Extended School Year for students with IEPs and credit recovery options for our high school students. SFUSD is providing every PK-5th grade student a summer backpack loaded with reading materials and fun activities!
Every PK - 5 SFUSD student will receive a backpack at school the week of May 23. SFUSD will offer virtual tutoring using the backpacks this summer.
Springboard will be at 6 sites this summer and enroll over 750 students. Springboard is a program for targeted students to improve their literacy skills. Employing unique reading goals for students, and combined with specialized training and curricular support for educators, the program is certain to provide the type of additional academic support that our students require after almost 2 years of instructional interruption.
Student Nutritional Services
Free breakfast & lunch for enrolled students at all SFUSD schools with summer programming. At select schools, free meals are available to all youth 18 & under, regardless of enrollment in a summer program.
PreKindergarten & Out-of-School Time Programs
PK: For children ages 2 years and 9 months to 5 years old. Summer offerings include full-time services for subsidized and tuition-based enrollment slots. June 8th-August 16th
