Dr. Candi Clark
Dr. Candi Clark is the President and CEO of The Education Experts, LLC, an organization that provides finance, management, operational and academic solutions to educational agencies.
Dr. Clark comes to SFUSD having most recently served as Associate Superintendent for the Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE). Dr. Candi Clark also served as Chief Financial Officer for the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE). LACOE is the United States' largest regional education agency serving more than two million students & over 100 school districts, community colleges, and charter schools in Los Angeles County. As a senior level executive, Dr. Clark has been responsible for the administrative, business, budgetary, financial, facilities and construction services within educational settings. She has also managed the business services and fiscal oversight of the county's school districts, community colleges, and charter schools including the administration of payroll services totaling over $20 billion dollars annually.
Dr. Clark has over 20 years of business and finance experience in government and business operations. Her background includes: K-12, county office of education, community colleges, institutions of higher learning, and state agency experience. She has also taught school finance at the university level and has served as a mentor in the FCMAT CBO Academy.
Among her many accomplishments, Dr. Clark served as President of the Alameda County School Insurance Group and Treasurer for the East Bay School Insurance Group. Dr. Clark also served on the Board of Directors for the Contra Costa County School Insurance Group. Serving as a liaison between the school district and community partners, she served on the Board of Directors for the Castro Valley Arts Foundation. Currently, Dr. Clark also served on the Alameda County Treasury Oversight Committee.
Dr. Clark earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership Administration and Policy from Pepperdine University, Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Belhaven University.
