SFUSD's Recent Bond Programs
Planning for a 2024 Bond
Our Bond Program helps SFUSD maintain safe and sustainable schools. In May 2023, the Board of Education approved a Facilities Master Plan, which set Emerging Priorities to inform SFUSD's capital planning. Informed by the Facilities Master Plan, SFUSD is proposing a new general obligation bond measure to implement the capital plan, and introduced this conversation with the Board of Education in September 2023.
Facilities Master Plan (FMP)
The FMP is the District’s 10-year work plan for its buildings and outlines key initiatives and emerging priorities for our schools.
- Bond Planning. Using FMP priorities and aligning with SFUSD's mission and values, develop a proposed program for the 2024 Bond measure.
- Ballot Measure Drafting. Draft language for 2024 Bond ordinance for BOE approval according to dates established by the CA Education Code and the SF Department of Elections.
The Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) provides local oversight of the Proposition A Bond Program and meets quarterly at 135 Van Ness Avenue. The CBOC webpage hosts information about CBOC members, the CBOC charter, and all meeting agendas and minutes.
