This Sunset-district middle school has a culturally diverse student body of over 1,200 and uses a wide variety of programs to meet student needs. The modernization project reconfigured the school's layout to expand its counseling and admin spaces, fully updated the roof, and made improvements to the cafeteria, kitchen, library, classrooms, and hallways.

Project Description
Modernization of existing campus classroom building, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Voluntary seismic strengthening
- Access compliance including, but not limited to: Accessible path of travel to accessible building entrance, accessible staff restrooms, accessible casework
- Fire and life safety work including new clock/speaker & public address system and upgrades to the existing fire alarm system
- Lighting, finish upgrades, and window shade replacement at classrooms
- Modernization of the kitchen and cafeteria
- Replacement of roofing on all buildings
- Interior and exterior painting at all buildings
- Reprogramming of the building front entry and administrative offices
