César Chávez Elementary Schoolyard

This project will improve the yard and outdoor areas throughout the school campus. It seeks to address heat and shade concerns, capture stormwater and provide water drainage more effectively, and overall make the yard a more vibrant, engaging, and fun place for learning and play. 

Design began in August 2025 and will continue through the 2025-26 school year. It will use a community-centered approach to incorporate staff, family, and student input into the designs.
