Cultural Events as Part of Anti-Bias Education

We believe in embedding anti-bias education as a cornerstone of our approach, fostering respect for diverse cultures while supporting the development of healthy self-identity. Our cultural events go beyond posters and celebrations—they are integral to our commitment to equity and inclusion.

Throughout the year, we host events that honor the diverse cultures and traditions within our community, thoughtfully planned with collaboration among students, families, and staff. These events are integrated into thematic lesson plans, reflecting our dedication to meaningful and authentic learning experiences.

While we encourage families to share their cultural and family traditions as part of this collective learning, participation in celebrations is always optional. Families who prefer their child not participate are encouraged to inform the principal or teacher so we can honor their wishes and provide an alternative activity.
