Grievances Procedures

The SFUSD EED intends to fully comply with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Individual agencies, organizations and students, and interested third parties have the right to file a complaint regarding the SFUSD EED alleged violation of federal and/or state laws. This includes allegations of unlawful discrimination (Ed Code sections and Government Code section 11135) in any program or activity funded directly by the state or receiving federal or state financial assistance. SFUSD EED encourages the early, informal resolution of complaints whenever possible and appropriate at the school site. 

 Unresolved complaints may be filed in writing and signed with SFUSD's Office of Equity at the following address:

A complaint regarding a health and safety code violation at a SFUSD EED facility can be submitted using the Williams Complaint process and is also filed with the Office of Equity. 

Licensing Agency to Contact for Complaints:  

The Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing has a centralized complaint and information bureau, which maintains a complaint hotline that you can call. The phone number is 844-538-8766. You can also go to the Community Care Licensing website at www.ccld.ca.gov
