Appropriate Clothing for School
Our preschool students spend a lot of time learning through hands-on activities. Whether they’re painting with their fingers, building with clay, or exploring water and sand for a class project, messy play is an important part of their day.
Please send your child to school in comfortable clothes that can get dirty. We recommend dressing them in layers to keep them comfortable as the weather changes. For safety, we ask that children wear close-toed shoes that fasten or tie. Tennis shoes are perfect because they allow children to run, balance, and climb safely. Please avoid sending your child in long skirts or dresses, scarves, hoodies with long strings, jewelry, or other items that could be a safety risk when using play equipment
For preschool students, please pack an extra set of clothes, including underwear and socks, in case of accidents or spills. If your child borrows clothing from the school, please return it clean and provide a replacement set as soon as possible.
Items from Home
We kindly ask that toys, money, electronics, gum, and candy remain at home. The only exception is a special item that helps your child feel comfortable during drop-off or nap time. If your child would like to bring such an item, please discuss it with their teacher. The item can be safely stored in your child's cubby.
