As your Superintendent, I’m thrilled to welcome you to a new school year in the vibrant and diverse San Francisco Unified School District community!

At SFUSD, our mission is to ensure that every student receives high-quality instruction and the equitable support they need to succeed in today’s world. Beyond academic excellence, we’re committed to nurturing students’ well-being and developing the social and emotional skills that empower them both in and outside the classroom.

As a parent and longtime San Francisco leader in public service, education, and children and family advocacy, I am committed to supporting the academic, social and emotional wellbeing of our students and to working closely with families.

Inside, you’ll find important information about district services, our Graduate Profile, your rights and responsibilities, and forms we ask you to complete annually. Your responses help us better understand your child’s needs, maintain up-to-date contact information for emergencies, and provide essential support.
