Wilson Reading System
Wilson Reading System is an intensive reading intervention program for students in grades 2-12 who have not responded to previous interventions in and outside of the classroom. Each complete lesson consists of explicit teaching in decoding (reading), encoding (spelling), and comprehension that requires a total of 90 minutes. These lessons can be segmented in two (45 min) lessons or three (30 min) lessons. To obtain optimal reading progress, CA and district dyslexia guidelines require that students complete at least 2 full lessons a week (180 min).
These materials are provided for teachers who have completed the 3 Day Wilson Introductory Training or who have completed the WRS Certification program.
Resources from Wilson Reading System were obtained through their site and are not for reproduction or distribution other than in the classroom by trained educators.
